Background

The Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Inductus Group in April to strengthen the state’s position as a preferred destination for Global Capability Centres (GCCs). The partnership seeks to draw multinational companies to Gujarat for the establishment and growth of GCC operations as part of the state initiative to enhance its position in the worldwide technology and services industry.

Under the agreement, Inductus Group will support the state through GCC advisory, IT consulting, location strategy and investment facilitation. The company will assist enterprises in evaluating Gujarat for setting up capability centres and help them execute and scale operations in the state.

Officials said the collaboration builds on India’s rising position as a global GCC hub, with companies increasingly exploring locations beyond major metropolitan cities for lower operating costs, access to skilled talent and scalable infrastructure. The industrial base of Gujarat together with its infrastructure development and its business-friendly regulations will help the state gain advantages from this transformation.
