Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the second annual trade expo organised by the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Gandhinagar, presenting the state as a strong model of growth that blends tradition with modern business.
Speaking at the event, he said Gujarat has advanced by combining trade with cultural values and entrepreneurship under the leadership of Narendra Modi. He described the state as a global gateway for future industries and innovation.
The three-day Gujarat Advanced Technology and Economy Expo, held in the third week of April at the Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, brought together businesses across more than 15 sectors. The event covered areas such as automobiles, renewable energy, information technology, pharmaceuticals, textiles, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. It spread across 18,000 square metres, reflecting the scale of participation.
The Chief Minister said the theme “Gujarat Vision, Global Ambition” would help MSMEs and young entrepreneurs move from local markets to global platforms. He added that initiatives like the Vibrant Gujarat Summit have strengthened the state’s industrial base over time.
He highlighted Gujarat’s expanding leadership across multiple sectors, which include green energy, electric vehicles and semiconductors. He also pointed out that the state contributes significantly to India’s economy, which includes a notable share in GDP, industrial output and exports.
Patel further said Gujarat has prepared a long-term “Developed Gujarat 2047” roadmap aligned with the national vision of a developed India. He stressed that close cooperation between industry and government will drive innovation and global competitiveness.
