Ahead of its 75th anniversary, the Gujarat government on Wednesday released its strategic vision document, ‘Gujarat@75: Agenda for 2035’, at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said the plan is both a celebration of the state’s achievements and a roadmap for the future.
The agenda supports Viksit Bharat@2047 and focuses on helping people earn good incomes and live better lives. It aims to promote growth across education, health, skills, entrepreneurship, infrastructure, and the environment
The plan wants to give modern education to all children, bring AI-based learning to 7,500 schools, and set up 75 Advanced Skill Institutes to create 7.5 million skilled jobs. Health plans include more medical colleges, create a digital health network, and provide insurance for every family.
Gujarat will create 750 urban green spaces, plant 7,500 Miyawaki forests, recycle 75% of city wastewater, and build 75 famous buildings. The state plans for 75% of industries to use green energy with help from wind and solar power, hydrogen plants, and 7,500 electric buses. This will create thousands of green jobs.
The plan also aims to improve crop quality, agro-processing, and farmer income. It supports start-ups and entrepreneurship. The government will invest Rs 7.5 lakh crore to develop roads, ports, irrigation, transport, water, and energy.
The agenda was prepared by the Gujarat Rajya Institution for Transformation (GRIT) with help from government departments and boards. It gives a clear, easy-to-measure plan to help Gujarat grow sustainably and innovate over the next ten years.
